Jason Hann-Deschaine MD

Born in Rhode Island and raised in Maine, Dr. Jason Hann-Deschaine grew up on a lake and spent a lot of time as a child enjoying the outdoors. He attended Middlebury College in Vermont and graduated summa cum laude with highest honors in Psychology.

After college, he was accepted into a special program that allowed him to spend his first two years training at Dartmouth College’s Geisel School of Medicine and then finish at  Brown University’s Alpert Medical School.

Following graduation, he moved to Delaware to pursue his pediatric residency at AI dupont Children’s Hospital for Children and Thomas Jefferson University. He was named Chief Resident of Pediatrics at duPont prior to joining Delaware Pediatrics in 2004.

Outside of medicine, he loves spending time with his wife, two boys, and labrador retriever. He also enjoys being involved in sports and has coached youth track and field, soccer, and ice hockey over the past 25 years. He still frequently plays ice hockey, and occasionally runs, cycles, swims, and surfs.
