Co-payments

All co-payments are expected at time of service. For your convenience, Delaware Pediatrics accepts cash, personal checks, and Visa/MasterCard debit and credit cards. Surcharges will be assessed for returned checks or co-payments not made at time of service.

Our contracts with insurance companies require that we verify your current coverage and collect your co-payment at each visit. Please bring your insurance card to every appointment.

Missed Appointments / Cancellations

If you can not keep an appointment, please notify us at least 2 hours prior to a sick appointment and 24 hours prior to a well child appointment. This courtesy on your part makes it possible to give the appointment to another patient who needs to see the doctor. If you do not contact us at least 2 hours prior to a sick appointment and 24 hours prior to a well child appointment, it will be considered a missed appointment.

We track each missed appointment. When an appointment is missed you will receive a missed appointment fee. If more than 3 appointments are missed within a 12 month period, the patient and his or her siblings will be subject to dismissal from the practice.

Form and Paperwork Requests

Forms requested with a well child office visit will be completed at the time of visit. Please note that there is a form fee for completion of paperwork not submitted at the time of a well visit. Please allow 5-10 business days for any form not requested during a well child visit. Please download our practice privacy policy.

  • Hepatitis A outbreak

Fortunately most children in our practice have been vaccinated against Hepatitis A. It is an excellent vaccine and should protect you child if he/she was exposed. If you child has not had the vaccine, call our office during our normal hours and we can schedule you for a vaccine visit. The Hepatitis A vaccine given within 2 weeks of exposure, will protect against getting the disease. Hepatitis A is a self limited disease (meaning it will go away on its own) with vomiting and diarrhea, If you child starts to look Jaundiced (yellow) please call our office. https://www.delawareonline.com/story/life/2019/04/11/buffalo-wild-wings-customers-may-have-been-exposed-hepatitis/3440297002/?fbclid=IwAR0xAYLMY7HAMvN-ofpqSrL4-Vw0o9I9YLpBw4r9A_4iMj1eJWcdcf0SIdU
